Copying Files From the Hard Drive to a Disk
Put a blank diskette into the disk drive.
Locate the file that you wish to copy to the disk.

Left click on the file once to highlight it

Right click on the file (a drop down menu will appear)
Choose Send to (another drop down menu will appear)
Choose 3 1/2 Floppy (A)
The file will now be copied to the disk providing there is enough room on the disk for the file.
Copying Files From a Disk to the Hard Drive
Locate the file on the disk that is to be copied.
Left click on the file once to highlight it.
Right click on the file (a drop down menu will appear)
Choose Copy
The file will be copied to the windows clipboard
Open the folder in which the file will be saved to.
Be sure that nothing is selected and right click on a blank part of the screen. (a drop down menu will appear)
Choose Paste
The file will now be pasted into the folder that you chose.
Downloading Attachments from Hotmail
As of 12/00 the method of downloading attachments are as follows:
Open the mail.
Select View Attachment.
At this time McAfee will scan the file to be sure that it is virus free.
Click the Download file button.
A dialog will appear asking if you would rather save the file to disk or download from the current location. Select Save File to Disk and press OK
Select the folder in which you wish to download the file and click on SAVE.
The file will begin downloading to the chosen folder.
Downloading Attachments from Yahoo mail
As of 12/00 the method of downloading attachments are as follows:
Open the mail.
Select Scan With Norton Antivirus.
At this time Norton Antivirus will scan the file to be sure that it is virus free.
Click on Download Attachment.
A dialog will appear asking if you would rather save the file to disk or download from the current location. Select Save File to Disk and press OK.
Select the folder in which you wish to download the file and click on SAVE.
The file will begin downloading to the chosen folder.
Saving Attachments with Outlook Express
As of 12/00 the method of saving attachments are as follows:
Single click on the Email message to select it.
Click on the on the in the lower half of the window (see below).
Click on the file to download. You will be prompted (Open Attachment Warning dialog) wether to open the file or save it to disk. Choose Save it to disk and click on OK.
In the Save Attachment As dialog, select the folder in which you wish to save the file and click on Save.
Your file will now download into the specified folder.
Final Notes on Outlook Express
At this time, Outlook Express does not use any kind of virus protection. So if you choose to download files this way, it would be wise to run some sort of virus scan on the files before you download or open them.
